The 21st Caspian International Exhibition ‘Transport, Transit and Logistics’ – Translogistica Caspian – wrapped at the Baku Expo Centre on 6 June. The event had gone on in the format of the Baku Energy Week that had united the 29th International Exhibition Caspian Oil & Gas, the 12th International Exhibition ‘Caspian Power and Green Energy’ and the Baku Energy Forum.

The fact that President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan had called in the exhibition pavilions of the Baku Energy Week had accentuated the significance of the Translogistica Caspian which demonstrated the latest in transport technologies.

The three-day exhibition was participated by delegates and heads of specialist companies of Azerbaijan, Germany, Kazakhstan, Latvia, the United Arab Emirates, the Russian Federation, the United States of America, Turkiye, Ukraine, France and Switzerland.

The Translogistica Caspian was given its relevance by the key aspects determining Azerbaijan’s role as an important transport hub. Azerbaijan is situated where the Caucasian Mountains meet the Caspian Sea, and is a dependable hub of transport routes connecting Europe and Asia. A component of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, our country provides for cargo haulage between China and Europe over the Caspian Sea.

The event caused lively interest in the logistical business community the members of which were scrutinising the principal vectors of the transport industries, optimisation of logistical processes and implementation of IT solutions in supply chain management processes.

Many overseas participants pointed up the chief element as they talked to mass media: that Azerbaijan has an advanced infrastructure to transit energy thanks to its energy resources, such as oil and gas. At the same time, the country is actively investing in such transport infrastructure development projects as laying new roads, enhancing ports and streamlining the railway system.

The exhibition activities incorporated fruitful B2B and B2G meetings, variously-themed events and discussions involving local and overseas companies.

The event was arranged by Caspian Event Organisers in conjunction with its international partners ICA Events and CEM FZ LLC.
