Our company was established in 2021 as a general freight forwarding operator of Azerbaijan Railways. Its charter capital amounts to 1.7 million manats. We are among the first private enterprises operating in Azerbaijan’s railway sector. ”Sara Logistics” is the only company that owns its own wagon fleet and has a sufficient number of wagons in operation.
I would like to note that this year is a significant one for us. We are moving beyond the traditional role of a railway operator. We have established a multimodal transportation department — a land transport department. We have also added new routes. For example, previously we could not operate beyond the Astara terminal in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Starting this year, we are able to deliver cargo to any destination within Iran and even as far as Pakistan.
In addition, against the backdrop of improving relations with Afghanistan, we have carried out shipments of cargo, oil, petroleum products, gasoline, and fuel products to that country. We have also acquired new types of vehicles, enabling us to provide refrigerated transport services. Another important development is the expansion of our wagon fleet, including the addition of covered wagons. These are among the innovations we are presenting to exhibition visitors.
We are now considering cooperation with major enterprises. For example, we have started transporting chicken products for ”KFC” from Georgia. This is one of our new projects. Steps will also be taken regarding the Zangezur corridor. What makes us proud is that Azerbaijan has become a crossroads connecting major transportation routes. As a company participating in this process, we are ready to provide all possible support.
We are planning to participate in the exhibition again next year and would like to see it expanded even further. Our expectations from the exhibition are high. The event provides us with valuable opportunities created by the organizers. For example, our participation in last year’s exhibition enabled us to enter the Georgian market more easily. I believe that one of the reasons for the significant growth in cargo volumes in our country is the existence of such events.
