Lyubov Agalova, General Director, BelNIIT Transtekhnika, Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus
BelNIIT "Transtekhnika" is a leading scientific centre in the transport sector of the Republic of Belarus. The Institute conducts scientific researches in the field of road, rail, air and water transport, aimed, among other things, at improving the efficiency of transport enterprises, ensuring the safety of passenger and freight traffic, as well as the operational reliability of vehicles and the quality of services.
Our delegation includes representatives of OJSC "Minsk Railway Car Repair Plant" and CJSC "Gomel Railway Car Building Plant". Today they held a number of meetings, as a result of which letters of intent were signed with Azerbaijani companies. We hope that the letters of intent will eventually turn into real contracts. Certain negotiations are scheduled for tomorrow, including meetings with logistics companies.
As for the “Road Infrastructure and Public Transport” exhibition, I would like to note the high level of organisation. It is somewhat frustrating that there are few visitors today, but this is understandable, given that today is the opening day, as well as the fact that the epidemiological situation has to a certain extent affected exhibition activities. Usually the second exhibition day is busier, so we have high expectations for tomorrow.
